Terms of use for the beta

Last updated 22 October 2026

This translation is provided for convenience. Only the German version (Nutzungsbedingungen) is legally binding.

In short: Fokuno is in beta and free. It may have bugs. Use it as intended and keep an eye on important deadlines yourself. You can stop at any time.

1. What this covers

These terms apply to the use of Fokuno during the beta: the Windows app, the web app at app.fokuno.com, the browser extension, access via MCP (for Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants) and the Fokuno account. The provider is Nils Lüönd, Switzerland (see legal notice). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

2. Beta

Fokuno is still in development. Features may change, be removed or be temporarily unavailable. Access to the beta is limited to invited people and can be ended at any time. There is no entitlement to a particular availability or to particular features.

3. Costs

The beta is free. If Fokuno costs something later, you'll hear about it by email first. You then decide for yourself whether to continue. No costs arise without your explicit consent.

4. Account and Google

To use Fokuno you need a Google account with Google Calendar. Fokuno adds blocks to your calendar and changes them as described in How Fokuno plans. You are responsible for making sure your account is not used by others. Fokuno is intended for people aged 13 and over; if you are under 16 and live in the EU, you need your parents' consent.

5. What is not allowed

Use Fokuno for your own planning. It is not allowed to attack or overload Fokuno or its servers, to get around security measures, to use other people's accounts or to use Fokuno for anything unlawful.

6. Your data

What you create in Fokuno belongs to you. You allow us to store and process it as far as necessary for Fokuno. How is described in the privacy policy. On request you get a copy of your data.

7. Warranty and liability

Fokuno is provided as is. The planner can be wrong, blocks can be missing or in the wrong place, and syncing can fail. Don't rely on Fokuno alone for important deadlines and appointments. To the extent permitted by law, liability for damage arising from the use of the free beta is excluded. This does not apply to liability for intent and gross negligence.

8. Stopping

You can stop using Fokuno at any time and have your account deleted by emailing hallo@fokuno.com. We can end the beta or block individual accounts, in particular in case of a breach of these terms. If the beta ends, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance and, on request, you get a copy of your data.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. We will tell you about significant changes by email in advance. If you keep using Fokuno afterwards, the new terms apply.

10. Law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is the provider's place of residence, unless the law mandatorily provides otherwise. If you live in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of your country of residence.
