About Fokuno
One person, one app, one problem: getting started.
Who is behind Fokuno
I’m Nils Lüönd, a student from Zurich, and I built Fokuno. There is no team and no company in the background. When you write to me, I answer myself.
Why Fokuno exists
Knowing what to do was never the hard part for me. Starting was. A to-do list tells you what is coming up and leaves open when you will do it. So the task moves to the evening, then to tomorrow, and the day before the deadline it gets tight.
I wanted an app that gives every task a fixed place in the week and pulls me into it, instead of just reminding me. Because I couldn’t find one that does both, I built it: a planner with fixed rules, a ritual for the start and a pause against distractions, all in one app.
What I stick to
- Only what is backed up. Numbers on this site have a source. Where there is no solid number, there is none, and I leave out claims without a study. That also goes for the guides.
- Your data is yours. It lives on servers in Zurich, is not sold and not used for advertising or AI training. Exporting your data and deleting your account work directly in the app. The details are in the privacy policy.
- A small app stays small. The beta grows in small groups, so I can read every piece of feedback and check the setup for everyone.
Who I built it for
First of all for school and university students, because I go to school myself: afternoons after class, exams with dates, training and appointments in between. Fokuno for school and university
