Fokuno vs. Motion

Motion also plans tasks into your calendar automatically. Here is an honest look at how Fokuno is different and when you are better off with Motion.

As of October 2026. Statements about Motion come from public sources and may change.

In short

  • In common: Both plan your tasks into the calendar automatically and rearrange when something changes.
  • Different at Fokuno: The focus is on the moment the block begins: a ritual for the first step, a breathing pause against distractions and an end-of-day check-out. Fokuno is built first for school and university, and the data lives in Zurich.
  • Better at Motion: Motion is a mature product by a team. Fokuno is a beta by one person, only for Windows and the browser and so far only with Google Calendar.
